yummy central coast

I now have a reason to blog properly!!  I do have an existing blog, but find it hard to write as my days are full of so many different things, and I have problems with decision making! (do I write about work, do I write about family, do I write about visual inspiration?)  If you take me to a restaurant with a huge menu, I am a hopeless, dithering mess.  Recently on a business trip to Melbourne, we went to a fabulous restaurant in Fitzroy called Gigimama.  A groovy, dimly lit turkish restaurant with exceptional staff, great ambience, amazing music and a tiny menu.  I was in heaven.  The food was some of the best I have had in a long time - except for my husband's cooking of course, which leads me to this blog.  That, and our locally grown produce, the local people who are making a difference and the need to do something creative myself - of course...
Lisa Sanasi is a friend who loves to take photos, loves to create amazing food from the local markets and loves everything colourful and intoxicating.  Another friend Corrine is a writer who will join us on this adventure around our beautiful Central Coast.  She loves to cook, loves to write and loves to share her amazing honey from her bees in their hive sitting in her front garden.
Our first venture is to a mushroom farm in Woy Woy on Friday.  Swiss Browns. Yummy. Photos and details to come.
